Two Racist LGBTQ Organizations to Profit from Commercial Capitalism

On June 8th, 2021, Pride St. Louis announced that they would be hosting Pride Night at Busch Stadium on June 25th, 2021, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit MTUG. In 2019, Pride St. Louis and MTUG demanded that the police wear their T-shirts during the Pride Parade out of respect for Stonewall. The St. Louis police responded with the reasoning behind their marching in uniforms is to respect the members of the police department who are members of the LGBTQ community.

The former Mayor of St. Louis got involved and said the exclusion of the police or anyone is just not in the spirit of our city. After the announcement that the Police will be wearing their uniforms, MTUG dropped out of Pride Parade. While the controversy spun out of control, a terrorist announced that he would kill every gay person. After Pride St. Louis 2019, Jolene Gosha resigned from Pride St. Louis in a Youtube video.

Jolene Gosha exposed Pride St. Louis, which is known for its corruption. There have always been rumors that Pride St. Louis is lining their pockets with donations given by the very members of the LGBTQ community. Allegedly a member of Pride St. Louis stole thousands of dollars from The Pride Center. According to several sources, they did not prosecute this Pride Board Member to avoid bad publicity.

This Pride Board member sits on the board for Both Pride St. Louis, Black Pride STL and works for a health organization where they have access to members of the community’s personal health information, social security numbers, and dates of birth. Why does Pride St. Louis section the community off instead of bringing the community together in Unity? According to Pride St. Louis’s most recent tax records, $20,300 was approved in 2019 for Diversity, Inclusion, and Equality, and only $1,688.15 was spent.

According to inside sources, Black Pride STL, which just celebrated twenty years, has never received any proceeds from Pride St. Louis and yet is approved for over $20,000 to spend per year. MTUG received over $35,000 in donations in their latest telethon event, and according to Transpeak, the President of MTUG is the only member of the organization who gets paid. House of Chuck Magazine has documented eight different counts of the board members of MTUG maliciously targeting community leaders on social media.

Will the corruption continue?

The question on everyone’s mind is will the corruption continue? Former Pride President Christa Lou Cunningham made a post accusing Just John’s Bar of profiting off the community. The bar owner responded that we are in the middle of a pandemic and were simply trying to stay open. According to the bar owner, Cunningham didn’t even bother to call Just John privately to work out the disagreement; instead, Cunningham went after a local LGBTQ organization on social media. Cunningham resigned after Just John’s response. These are the leaders of The St. Louis LGBTQ community. House of Chuck Magazine would like to Quote the famous reporter Elliot Davis “You Paid For It.” House of Chuck Magazine insists that the new Mayor of St. Louis and the City of St. Louis have more oversight over the St. Louis LGBTQ community for everyone’s safety.
